Closing Date : 20/Jan/2025, 3:59:00 PMMajor Duties and ResponsibilitiesCarrying out general support to the daily work, routine operations, project and activities under the Circulation Section of the Library;Assisting patrons in using library services, resources and facilities;Providing clerical support to library operations and projects;Performing counter duties and required to work irregular hours and shift duties;Performing other duties as assigned by the University Librarian or his/her nominee(s).CandidatesAt least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese Languages and Mathematics (holder of the Certificate of Library Assistant will be an advantage);Good computer skills including English and Chinese word-processing and spreadsheet;Good communication skills in English and Chinese (including being able to converse in English and Chinese, preferably in Putonghua as well);Ability to follow procedures consistently;Being patient, pleasant, proactive, meticulous and willing to take up rotational/new assignments;Experience in and knowledge of library-related work such as Circulation is preferred.Terms and Conditions for AppointmentSuccessful candidate will be appointed on a temporary full-time contract.
