Our Client is an International Financial Institution with an established and growing presence in Asia. The Group is currently expanding its Global Markets and Securities / Brokerage business activities in Asia and is seeking an experienced Operational Risk Management professional to establish the Operational Risk framework for the Asia region, based in Hong Kong.The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:Senior member of the Regional Second Line of Defence Risk Management function specialising in Operational Risk ManagementTake a lead role in supporting the Global Markets & Securities / Brokerage businesses on operational risk mattersEstablish and develop the Operational Risk framework, workflow, processes and procedures with innovative approachesAssist and guide the First Line on Business Risk matters including planning, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and reporting, risk acceptances and new business initiativesProvide firm-wide risk oversight and governance for the designated businesses and challenge existing risk management principles and assumptionsPerform independent risk assessment across the various lines of businesses, deliver the results and work with the First Line teams as a partner to identify all operational risks, assess impact, provide remediation solutions and develop action plansReview, monitor and ensure adequate controls are in place for identifying and addressing risk issues according to regulatory and internal risk management requirementsProvide consultative advice and recommendations to the Businesses on risk management priorities and meeting operational risk standards while identifying opportunities to influence best practicesLead and / or participate in risk management transformational projects in the regionSuccessful applicants will have the following skills and experience:Degree qualified ideally with relevant professional qualifications in audit, risk or complianceAround 8 - 12+ years relevant experience in operational risk management, enterprise risk management, other non-financial risk management and governance functionsExperience in Investment Banking and / or Securities / Brokerages with exposure to a wide range of asset classes in equities and fixed incomeExperience in building out operational risk framework and processesGood knowledge of operational risk management framework, risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, processes and controls, risk analytics and governanceFamiliar with Front to Back processes in investment banking, securities trading / brokerage as well as the relevant rules and regulations in Asia, SFC rules etc.Excellent communication skills with fluency in EnglishHow to ApplyPlease click the Apply button to submit your application.About Bowen PartnersBowen Partners is an executive search and talent development firm in Hong Kong.
