Job Title: IT Deskside Support Engineer Job Descriptions: The IT Deskside Support Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers and related equipment within the company. The candidate needs to provide efficient technical support to employees and ensure the smooth operation of the desktop environment. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Configuration: Perform onsite or remote installation and configuration of operating systems, office software, and applications for new employees. Technical Support: Collaborate with Contract IT Hotline to provide daily IT help desk support onsite or remotely via phone, email, and online chat. Identify and prioritize urgent issues, escalating them to relevant IT personnel. Maintain and troubleshoot the company's network, hardware, and software systems, ensuring normal operation. Diagnose and resolve various hardware and software issues, keeping records and generating system operation reports. Account Management: Create and maintain Active Directory (AD) accounts and email accounts for new employees. Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly check and maintain computer hardware and manage updates and patches for systems to ensure security. Asset Management: Track inventory and usage of computers and related equipment; assist with procurement and disposal. User Training: Provide training on computer and Office software for new employees and maintain IT user manuals. Develop/enhance standalone/web-based applications using Java Script, Microsoft. Net, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Reporting Services. Perform application programming for system development, maintenance, and enhancement. Carry out application system testing. Assist in requirements gathering and systems analysis. Support system deployment. Perform user training and compile technical manuals documentation for application systems. Job Requirements: Certificate or above in IT related discipline or experience; at least 2 years of experience in deskside support. Technical knowledge of supporting Windows 10/11, Microsoft Active Directory, M365 suite, VPN, etc. Strong teamwork skills, ability to work independently, and a sense of responsibility. Proficient in various computer hardware and software, capable of independent installation, debugging, and troubleshooting. Proactive, detail-oriented, responsible, and a strong team player. Good communication skills in Cantonese and English reading ability.
