Your new company A reputable Corporate & Commercial Bank is looking for an experienced Head of Operations to join their Operations department. The Head of Operations will oversee the daily operational activities of the department and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of banking operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Your new role Oversee and manage 5 direct reports within an operations department of 300+ headcount. Lead bank-wide and departmental projects to streamline processes, implement systems for new product launches, drive transformation initiatives, support business strategy, and adapt to regulatory changes-while coordinating closely with the mainland operations department on system enhancements and project execution. Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen risk management, aligning with the bank's overall goals and objectives. Partner with the mainland operations department and CE to define and advance the organizational vision, operational strategy, and workforce planning. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the mainland operations department, CEO, and regulators such as HKICL and HKMA. Translate strategic priorities into actionable steps for growth, including enterprise-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning. Oversee company operations and departmental productivity, fostering an inclusive culture that empowers team members to thrive while achieving organizational objectives. Drive effective people management and workforce planning across training, recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention. Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary. What you'll need to succeed Bachelor Degree holder with relevant working experience. Over 15 years of experience in Corporate Banking / Wholesale Banking Operations, including more than 6 years in people management roles. Extensive knowledge of corporate & commercial banking operations, covering Account Services, KYC/CDD, E-Banking, Payments and Remittances, Treasury Settlement, Loans & Credit Administration, and Trade Finance Services. Proven track record in team leadership and people management across related functions. Proficient in English, Putonghua, and Cantonese.
