Lead Fund Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of Fund Products in our Private Banking segment. With your expertise and knowledge of the financial markets, you will identify opportunities to grow our business and develop strategies to achieve our goals.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Fund Specialist. As a key member of our Private Banking team, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and selecting traditional and alternative funds for our clients;
- Collaborating with internal business units and external asset managers to deliver advisory communications and training;
- Maintaining our funds platform and monitoring recommendations, models, and projects;
- Assisting in planning and driving Fund products investment initiatives, formulating and deploying an effective product strategy/marketing plan to achieve business results in North Asian markets;
- Developing effective sales incentive plans, sales aids, sales flows, and training materials to increase sales efficiency and reduce costs/lead times;
- Coordinating with fund partners to onboard and launch new products in compliance with internal & external guidelines and regulatory requirements;
- Conducting market analysis timely to identify business opportunities/threats, initiating appropriate product strategies/plans, including distribution capability to optimize business results;
- Revamping/improving products on shelf, reviewing documentation/sales processes, streamlining operation flows while adhering to both internal policies and regulatory requirements;
- Preparing regular reports and ad-hoc presentations for review by management and regulators;
- Assisting and driving organization of client events with asset management companies and internal stakeholders;
- Training new joiners on selling processes for Fund-related activities;
- Performing regulated activities (Type 1 & 4 or 1, 4, 9) specified under the Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO);
- Complying with registered capacity as well as any conditions imposed by the HKMA and applicable requirements of the Code of conduct for Persons Licensed by or Registered with the SFC.
- University degree with preferred professional qualification in Finance or Investment fields;
- 4-6 years in related field considered for AVP, 8-10 years or more related experience considered for VP;
- Related experience should be in Fund Products or similar position in established Financial Institution;
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
- Good understanding of Fund Products industry, i.e., regulatory, business needs;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to analyze Fund Products and do product selections;
- Well-versed with standard platforms and analytical tools used (Reuters, Bloomberg, etc.);
- Familiar with standard computer software programs;
- Must be registered RI [Regulated Activities: Type 1 & 4 or 1, 4 & 9 (as required)];
