About This Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Emotional Wellbeing Supporter to join our team at the Waterloo Central School District. In this role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Salary and Benefits:

  • We offer a competitive salary based on the WEA Contract of agreement, plus an extra duty stipend of $10,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualized support to students with social-emotional needs, including developing social skills and coping strategies.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to integrate emotional wellbeing into lesson plans and classroom activities.
  3. Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives that promote emotional wellbeing and resilience among students.

Requirements:

  • NYS Teaching Assistant III Certification
  • Minimum 5-years' experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • TCIS training in physical restraint or willingness to be trained
  • Previous experience with restorative practices preferred
