Job Description:

The Global Procurement Category Lead - Textiles will manage procurement categories, develop strategic initiatives to improve the category, and drive overall performance. This role requires strong negotiation skills, project management ability, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the organization's needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain category-specific metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive cost savings and value creation initiatives.

Key Metrics and KPIs:

  • Savings: Measures the cost savings achieved through effective category management practices.
  • Supplier Performance: Measures the performance of suppliers in terms of delivery, quality, and service level agreements.
  • Contract Compliance: Measures the degree to which suppliers comply with contract terms and conditions.
  • Category Spend: Measures the total spend for the category.
  • Total Cost of Ownership: Measures the total cost of owning and operating goods or services procured within the category.
  • Cycle Time: Measures the time it takes to complete the procurement process.
