The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) invites applications for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Computer Science. As a member of our research team, you will contribute to various aspects of our ongoing research projects, including literature review, model development, and simulation testing.

Job Overview

The appointee will work under the supervision of our project leader to conduct research in the field of federated learning and wireless communication optimization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Literature review and analysis;
  • Model development and implementation;
  • Programming and simulation testing;
  • Collaboration with our team to achieve project goals;

We seek candidates with a strong academic background in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and experience working with Python programming languages and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. A theoretical foundation in machine learning and good mathematical modeling skills are essential for this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline;
  • Master's degree or above preferred;
  • Proficiency in Python programming;
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch;
  • Theoretical foundation in machine learning;
  • Good mathematical modeling skills;
