Job Description

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to join their team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for formulating infrastructure architectural principles to support the overall Enterprise Architectural principle of WKCDA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining infrastructure architectural principles and standards
  • Leading and owning on-going research, learning, and work with Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) to reapply infrastructural design practice from relevant reference use cases
  • Building an enterprise infrastructure, Cloud, and Containerized architecture to align with the technology roadmaps of the Authority
  • Establishing, maintaining, and enforcing strategic enterprise architecture standards and policies that govern the use of digital platforms in the Authority
  • Defining end-to-end cloud and virtualization infrastructure strategy, standard, and process
  • Maintaining and reviewing IT technical standard components to align with the technology roadmaps
  • Identifying, evaluating, and managing the associated risks related to infrastructure and Cloud architecture
  • Providing expert advice on technical best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies in related domains

Requirements:

  • Recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines
  • At least 10 years of post-qualification IT experience with minimum 5 years in infrastructure Architect or Cloud Architect related roles
  • Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, including network, storage, server, OS, virtualization technology, databases, middle-tier software management
  • Strong experience in designing and managing infrastructure/Cloud platforms and related technologies
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure architectures, particularly in IaaS, PaaS, SaaS enterprise cloud computing, and containerized architectures
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF
  • Good knowledge of emerging technologies, market best practices, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven strategic thinker to provide big picture and visions for future technology development
  • Holder of related professional certificates is definitely an added advantage
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese
