Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Services Lead to join our team at Hong Kong International Airport development site. This role will be on a contract basis for 38 months, which may be extended or shortened depending on project requirements. The successful candidate will receive an attractive remuneration package with gratuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with clients, Head Office, and contractors regarding building services details, materials, and workmanship to ensure statutory compliance and site progress.
  • Supervise and lead Building Services Inspection Team for tasks such as testing and commissioning, mock-up inspections, factory inspections, and others.
  • Review and refine design and shop drawings with contractors to align with actual site conditions.
  • Report and resolve design or installation problems, and site difficulties, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor contractor performance and workmanship on building services aspects, and report findings.
  • Attend regular site coordination meetings and provide prompt responses to contractors' technical queries.
  • Provide site records and evidence to support client and Head Office assessments of contractor claims for extension of time or works disruption related to building services.
  • Assist in reviewing building services variation works.
  • Regularly report site progress to Head Office and assist Project Engineers/Managers in reporting site activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualifications in MHKIE, Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services disciplines.
  • Not less than six years of relevant experience, including three years on-site experience in Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Services construction works.

For Resident Building Services Inspector/Resident Assistant Building Services Inspector positions, the following additional requirements apply:

  • Diploma or High Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services from recognized institutions, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Not less than six years of relevant experience, including three years on-site experience in supervision of Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Services construction works.
  • Three years of post-qualification local experience for Resident Assistant Building Services Inspector position.
  • Registration as an electrical worker is desirable.
Estimated Salary: HKD 60,000 - HKD 80,000 per month
