Research Officer Position at Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Institute

The Faculties of Arts, Business, Social Sciences, School of Graduate Studies, and School of Interdisciplinary Studies at Lingnan University offer undergraduate, taught postgraduate, and research postgraduate programmes. The university's liberal arts education model blends the arts, science, and elements around human and humanities, anticipating the establishment of the School of Data Science.

The appointee will participate in five research projects investigating housing issues, consumption patterns, disparity between education and job opportunities, mental health among students in Hong Kong, and alternative dispute resolution in business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in arranging interviews
  • Supporting in conducting interviews
  • Collecting data and performing qualitative/quantitative data analyses
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements include a degree holder, preferably in Social Work, Social Policy, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, or related disciplines. Skills in quantitative research and analysis tools, good analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a good command of written and spoken English are also required. Previous experience in undertaking research is highly preferred.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointee will have the opportunity to work independently and contribute to the university's research initiatives.
