Job Title: Garment Technician, CK Sport

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Garment Technician to join our team at PVH. As a key member of our technical design team, you will be responsible for the development of allocated styles, collaborating with global technical teams and hub cross-functional partners to ensure consistency of fit across all collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile, analyze, and document clear directional fitting comments in Centric.
  • Evaluate garment construction and quality to identify possible risks and testing required, providing alternative suggestions to eliminate risks.
  • Responsible for upholding design intent across multiple base sizes from 1st Fit through to PP Approval, proactively addressing concerns and providing suggested solutions to technical and design teams.
  • Work closely with hub sourcing and vendors to manage sample T&A, assisting in prompt conversations with vendors and taking necessary actions.
  • Follow and assess yearly SOPs set in place internally and externally within the company, ensuring relevance or following up with partners for necessary updates.
  • Lead vendor accreditation training for PP and Fit Approval, responsible for identifying programs/styles and allocating PP and/or Fit Approval to vendors.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Lead and participate in communication with cross-functional teams, sharing knowledge and aiding better alignment.
  • Participate in projects to create and define new SOPs and best practices.

External Contacts: Vendors and Suppliers

Decision Making:

  • Responsible for solving and justifying any discrepancies on pattern/grading/YY encountered by vendors.
  • Sample approval/pattern construction/fitting result/quality standard.
  • Able to make decisions on bringing/altering new benefits beneficial for the brand and company.

Resourcefulness/Creativity:

  • Build up libraries/paper pattern matching records to improve the group process and cope with increasing/heavy workload.
  • Provide guidance to hubs and vendors to ensure our workflow can run seamlessly.
  • Utilize computer knowledge to perform various tasks effectively in systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education and Experience:

  • Diploma or above in Technical Design, Pattern Grading, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years or above relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of fitting, pattern making, grading, construction, and testing in related production categories.
  • Background in sports bra and loungewear preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of sewing and stitch properties and overall garment detail.
  • Organized and detailed-oriented, takes immediate action to resolve issues and problems.
  • Calibrated mindset that builds good working relationships and leads to team building.
  • Excellent communication skills able to communicate effectively across the team and organization.
  • Knowledge of live model garment fitting and the ability to instruct a vendor on garment manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of Lectra system.
  • Knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Fluency in English.
