About this role

We are seeking a skilled Investment Solutions Associate to join our Global Product Solutions team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing actionable investment insights and portfolio consulting to help clients build better portfolios.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop investment strategy materials to drive commercial narratives across Active, iShares, and Private Markets for institutional and wealth clients
  • Stay up-to-date on macroeconomic and market developments and their impact on portfolio outcomes
  • Create portfolio analytics to support the commercialization of BlackRock products
  • Support portfolio consulting projects and independently fulfill internal requests on related work
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to achieve tasks and support senior team leads in internal and external client requests
  • Update team materials and look for ways to improve efficiency
  • Continuously expand and deepen investment, portfolio construction, and BlackRock product knowledge

This position is based in Hong Kong.

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in portfolio consulting and/or investment research at a buy-side or other financial institution
  • BA/BS in a quantitative/analytical field such as finance, economics, or science
  • CFA and/or advanced degree desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience in utilizing those skills in an applied research environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; programming skills (SQL/VBA/Python/Matlab) a plus
  • Understanding of financial markets and portfolio construction techniques
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
