Job Summary:
We are seeking a Seasonal Lifeguard to join our team at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers at beaches and water sports centres, rescuing swimmers in distress, maintaining order, and assisting with cleaning work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the safety of swimmers at beaches and water sports centres
• Rescue swimmers in distress
• Maintain order
• Assist with cleaning work

Working Hours:
The working hours are 45 hours net per week, with 7.5 hours per day (excluding meal breaks). You will be required to work shifts during the period from 6:15 am to 10:15 pm, and may be required to work overtime. You will also be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Terms of Appointment:
Applicants will be appointed on contract terms under the PRSC Scheme. Fringe benefits, including rest days, statutory holidays, annual leave, and maternity/paternity leave, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. Upon satisfactory completion of the contract, you may be granted a gratuity of up to 15% of your total basic salary.

Requirements:
• Possess at least one year's work experience at public beaches or water sports centres within 20 years of service immediately before retirement
• Possess a valid Beach Lifeguard Award or above issued by the Hong Kong Life Saving Society
• Possess a valid First Aid Certificate issued by the St. John Ambulance Association, Hong Kong Red Cross, or Auxiliary Medical Service
• Pass the selection interview, swimming, and trade tests
• Pass an eyesight test and the Ishihara's Test
• Have satisfactory performance and conduct in the most recent three years of service in the Leisure and Cultural Services Department
