Job Description

We are seeking a Consultant/Senior Consultant, Banking, to acquire first-hand experience in the banking industry, build knowledge on a wide range of companies, and apply project management best practices in a fast-paced environment. As we conduct all projects at clients' premises, you will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high-quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, data collection, and analysis on investment portfolios in client banks to understand their requirements and advisory servicing needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations using business proposals and presentations.
  • Organize and conduct reviews on processes, policies, guidelines, and other documentation related to portfolio- and product advisory to identify opportunities for the client to create market-leading practices.
  • Document projects into systems and processes for management review.
  • Closely interact with clients through interviews, workshops, project updates, and in-person networking to understand requirements in-depth and deliver solid solutions.
  • Support thought leadership on Advisory topics by researching market best practices and staying informed of industry trends.

Additional Responsibilities for More Experienced Candidates

  • Support design and activation of new Advisory-related products and services from Synpulse.
  • Drive the sharing of Advisory knowledge/ expertise throughout Synpulse.
  • Lead smaller project teams.

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree holder.
  • 3-6 years of experience in the banking or consulting industry.
  • Understand investment products/advisory across the Private and Wealth Banking sector.
  • Familiar with Risk analytic and portfolio management.
  • Preferably have a strong technology affinity and system implementation experience.
  • Experience in financial product management or -structuring, portfolio construction, trading, or portfolio reporting will be an advantage.
  • Highly analytical and structured in problem-solving; able to quickly understand complex situations.
  • CFA/CAIA/FRM designation or passed tests will be an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; fluency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin will be an advantage.
