Job Purpose:

This role oversees the overall sales and services management for Business Banking, as well as responsible for driving development, productivity, cost efficiency, and human resource management across various aspects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing Strategic Plans: Partner with the General Manager to design and execute strategic plans for the Business Banking Department, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Team Leadership: Drive, motivate, and direct the team towards delivering high-quality results and achieving the corporate mission.
  • SME Account Management: Lead a team of business officers/managers to deliver SME account acquisition, opening, management, and product offerings such as FX, loans, and trade services.
  • Talent Development: Identify and develop a pool of skilled relationship managers to strengthen relationships with high-value customers and explore new business opportunities.
  • Resource Allocation: Strategically allocate departmental resources through comprehensive recruitment processes, career development programs, and attractive remuneration systems to attract top talent.
  • Performance Assessment: Design and implement performance assessment frameworks to track KPIs, ensure progress, and drive improvements.
  • Business Analysis: Analyze business performance data, generate actionable insights, and support sales teams in customer acquisition and sales strategy optimization.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Manage ad-hoc projects and strategic assignments as required, ensuring timely completion and effective execution.
  • Business Partnerships: Build and strengthen business relationships with SME associations or intermediary companies to develop new customer relationships and business opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Participate in ongoing operations/technology enhancements and product development, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, meeting materials, and internal communications to effectively convey key information.
  • KPI Achievement: Responsible for achieving full-year revenue profit and cost control KPIs.

Incumbent Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of business banking operations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Personal Qualities: Proactive, results-driven, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
