Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Application Development to join our team at Bank Of China (Hong Kong) Limited. As a key member of our Retail Banking sector, you will be responsible for analyzing user requirements and transforming them into technical designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and Design: Analyze user requirements and transform them into technical designs that meet business needs.
  • System Implementation: Implement or enhance system functionalities to fulfill business requirements from the Retail Banking sector.
  • API Development: Design and implement APIs to integrate internal banking systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot problems and propose solutions to technical issues, collaborating with developers and/or external parties to accomplish time-critical tasks.
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors and communicate with them about architecture and technical design.
  • Team Management: Manage an off-shore development team and provide guidance.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the overall development progress and perform code reviews to maintain the quality of deliverables.
  • Emergency Support: Provide emergency support and perform system maintenance during non-office hours.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in system analysis, application design, system development, and implementation, preferably in banking or finance sector.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, solid knowledge in Microservices and API development, experience in utilizing DevSecOps pipeline tools, experience in vendor management, and experience in system integration with legacy mainframe systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Effective communication with all levels of organization and staff, good team player, positive attitude, self-motivated, adaptive to changes, and able to work under pressure.
