Chair of Landscape Architecture
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is recognized globally as a premier institution, offering a vibrant environment for research and education in architecture. The School of Architecture is dedicated to fostering innovative approaches to architectural education and interdisciplinary research that contribute to societal advancement and professional development.
We are in search of a distinguished individual to take on a pivotal role in leading our new Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) Programme. Candidates should hold a PhD in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Architecture, Environmental Studies, or a closely related field. Recognition on an international scale within the discipline will be highly regarded.
Preference will be given to those with a robust research portfolio and/or design practice that addresses critical environmental, ecological, and urban issues within the Asian context. We particularly value candidates who can enhance interdisciplinary research and education, bridging landscape architecture with related fields such as Architecture, Urban Design, and Planning.
Appointments are typically made on a contractual basis for an initial period, with the possibility of extension based on performance, funding, and mutual agreement. Exceptional candidates may be considered for a permanent position upon initial hiring.
