Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure group, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining our network equipment. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Installation and Cabling: Install and cable switches, servers, and appliances in data centres and client premises.
  2. Smart Hands/Remote Hands Installation: Facilitate server and network equipment installation using smart hands/remote hands in remote co-locations.
  3. Software Configuration and Hardware Maintenance: Configure software (Windows, Linux, and VMWare etc.) and perform hardware-related tasks such as replacing HDD/RAM/SFP transceivers.
  4. Project Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure project readiness and execution.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams directly or through the Customer Support department.
  6. Equipment Packaging and Shipping: Package and ship equipment for remote co-locations, including getting equipment to and from these locations.
  7. Work Activity Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of work activities.
  8. Ad Hoc Assignments: Assist with ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Education: A higher diploma/Associate degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Networking would be advantageous.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience working in a data centre is preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of structured cabling, CAT5, CAT6, multi-mode/single-mode fibre, and remote 'hands & eyes' experience would be beneficial, but fresh graduates are also welcome.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrated attention to detail, tidiness, and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin communication skills are mandatory.
  • Punctuality and Responsibility: Punctuality, responsibility, and a polite demeanor are essential.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Shift Work and Business Travel: Willingness to perform shift duties and participate in occasional business trips.
