Role Overview
A Senior Claims Resolution Specialist at American International Group (AIG) plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while managing complex claims. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance policies, risk assessment, and claim resolution procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage key claims handling enquires, including coverage determination, quantum analysis, and legal liability assessment within authority limits.
  • Work with Team Manager/Senior Adjuster to ensure effective vendor and litigation management on complex claims within a personal allocation.
  • Develop communication for internal stakeholders, where required.
  • Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling through feedback and support from the Quality Assurance Review processes.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of best practice procedures for complex claims, consistent with global best practices.
  • Demonstrate a basic standard of technical claims competence for handling moderate to lower complexity complex claims.
  • Handle complex claims allocated within agreed levels of authority limits.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
  • Consistent proactive claims handling on an ongoing basis, including initial file review, investigations, liability assessments, negotiations, settlements, and litigation management.
  • Effective communication of key complex claims and portfolio messages to internal stakeholders.
  • Financial control through consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline.
  • Accurate and consistent policy interpretation.
