Finance - Strategic Planning and Stress Testing Department

The Financial Control function at Hang Seng Bank works closely with stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators, and external examiners. We provide comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting, and compliance.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Finance and Accounting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the Bank's budget and forecast, collaborating with various departments to gather budget requirements, analyzing financial data, tracking spending, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform financial planning, regular financial forecast, cost management control, and highlight key issues for management review.
  • Prepare budget and forecast management reports, analyze financial data, and identify key insights and trends to support budget planning and forecasting.
  • Develop financial models and perform scenario analysis to evaluate the financial impact of different business decisions.
  • Maintain up-to-date management information and implement relevant control measures to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Digitalize the forecasting and budgeting data using existing data analytical platforms to enhance business governance, data management, visual storytelling, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders and build healthy working relationships based on trust.

Requirements

  • Agile, change-oriented, dynamic, and inquisitive approach to work.
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a recognized qualification such as ACCA or HKICPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, with good financial analysis and presentation skills, as well as the ability to interpret and convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional drive and commitment, ability to work and thrive in a fast-changing and results-driven environment, and proven ability in handling competing priorities.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
  • Applicants must possess exceptional proficiency in English writing, demonstrating the ability to produce articulate and precise written content.
  • Strong collaboration and effective communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, departments, and stakeholders to gather inputs, align goals, and implement strategic initiatives successfully.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin.
