Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Settlement Associate to join our team at SAFE Investment. As a key member of our settlement team, you will be responsible for performing daily settlement activities for global equities, fixed income, FX, and MM.
Responsibilities:
- Process daily tasks including trade matching and ensure all instructions are executed timely and efficiently.
- Provide assistance to monitor securities lending positions for potential recall requirements, reconciling and collecting monthly lending income and prepare lending report.
- Liaise directly with front office, brokers, and custodians to resolve trade, settlement and lending issues.
- Conduct margin calls with counterparties.
- Ensure daily relevant processing are completed properly within pre-defined deadline.
- Escalate any issue to Team Manager's attention in timely manner.
- Participate in UAT for any new system enhancement and implementation.
- Assist in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree or above.
- Responsible, self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure.
- 0 - 3 years relevant Settlement experience in Asset Management / Investment Bank (Fresh Graduates are also considered).
- Familiar with SWIFT system.
- Excel Macro / VBA Knowledge is preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken English, Mandarin & Cantonese.
- Willing to work on public holidays, typhoon, black rainstorm and morning shifts at 6:30am.
