About the Role

The Regional Travel Manager will play a critical role in the successful implementation and ongoing management of Baker McKenzie's global travel program. This includes coordinating with regional offices, travel agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless travel experiences for Firm employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan the transition of regional offices to the new global travel program
  • Work closely with the selected travel agency to prepare agents in each region for Baker McKenzie travelers and travel arrangers
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Firm employees as the internal point of contact for Travel Services in their respective regions
  • Effectively manage and resolve travel-related issues and queries
  • Provide support and resources for the Firm's online travel booking tool
  • Track, follow up, and close all Travel Services issues raised by travelers and travel arrangers in their region
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc travel reporting requirements within the region
  • Provide an 'always open' service experience to key stakeholders, including the risk and security team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on airlines and hotels in their respective region
  • Support regional and global business reviews with the selected travel agency
  • Contribute to and lead specific global projects within the Travel Services Team

Travel Requirements

Regional Travel Managers must be able to support the global Firm as required, including potential travel within the region up to 30% of the time during peak periods.

About the Team

The Firm Travel Services team is responsible for the Firm's global travel program and the management of the selected travel agency services provider. This includes managing issues and queries, supporting the procurement of discounts with airlines and hotels, engagement with travelers and travel arrangers, communications, travel technology, reporting requirements, and delivering additional value to the Firm.

  • Highly driven and dedicated outlook, with flexibility to work outside of normal business hours when required
