Job Summary

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Research Assistant to support the delivery of Chinese language learning projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Chinese language learning projects, including designing and delivering educational materials and activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the department, including data analysis, website management, and social media maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement digital marketing strategies and promotional activities.
  • Contribute to the analysis and evaluation of project outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
  • Perform other academic and administrative tasks as assigned by the department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field, such as education, linguistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in graphic design, editing, and computer applications, including websites and social media design.
  • Knowledge of illustration software, web authoring, and Adobe InDesign.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Arrangements

The appointee will be appointed on a contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
