The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Division of Life Science invites outstanding young researchers to apply for the Research Assistant Professor position in the HKUST-Nan Fung Life Sciences Joint Laboratory.

The Joint Laboratory aims to harness advanced technologies to drive the development of next-generation diagnostics and therapeutics. Our primary focus is on discovering molecular biomarkers and drug targets to develop novel diagnostics and therapeutics for aging and diseases, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies such as high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics platforms.

The appointee will be responsible for devising research proposals to secure funding support, producing quality research outputs in stem cell and aging studies, supervising junior research staff and students, publishing scientific papers, writing grant proposals and reports, managing the laboratory, and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field with solid research experience and a strong track record of research publications in reputable scientific journals. An excellent command of written and spoken English is required.

The appointee should be organized, responsible, meticulous, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Solid research experience and a strong track record of research publications
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
