Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer of Travel, this pivotal role is responsible for prospecting, managing, and closing new business opportunities for enterprise-wide PROS solutions within the transportation and logistics sector. Key stakeholders include 3rd party logistics, freight carriers, and passenger carriers.
A collaborative team consisting of Sales Management, Legal, Finance, Sales Operations, Marketing, Account Development, Pre-Sales Solutions Consulting, Professional Services, Research & Development, and Customer Success will provide exceptional support to drive success in this position.
The ideal candidate will excel in developing strategic relationships with senior executives, driving sales cycles from prospecting to contracting, and executing tasks with precision.
This dynamic opportunity involves:
- Building a sales pipeline to meet targets and documenting all activities within Salesforce.com.
- Managing client relationships, identifying key decision makers, and influencers.
- Articulating the value proposition of PROS solutions to prospective customers at various levels.
- Identifying target customers within a defined geography in the travel industry.
- Collaborating internally on product positioning, development requirements, and demo design.

- At least 5 years of experience in business development for SaaS software solutions in airlines.
- A global mindset, sensitivity to cultures, and willingness to work across time zones.
- A proven track record of sales success and ability to exceed goals.
- An ownership mentality, independently developing and managing sales opportunities.
- Experience with long sales cycles and region-specific sales strategies.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Able to deliver compelling offers to senior and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Digitally savvy with a genuine interest in SaaS and niche technology.
- A logical, data-driven mindset with creative relationship building skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- Proficiency in Salesforce (or other CRM), Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
