Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, focusing on the Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement Project. This role will be stationed full-time at the project site and will involve direct reporting to the Contract Administrator's Representative and the Client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of Contract Administration for the construction project, adhering to the Authority's established procedures.
  • Independently evaluate Contractor's time and cost claims, preparing relevant correspondence.
  • Prepare and present documentation to the Client for financial and time-related approvals.
  • Generate financial reports and claims assessments for Client distribution.
  • Assist the Client in managing their Independent Quantity Surveyor Consultant.
  • Collaborate with a site-based Quantity Surveying team.
  • Engage directly with the Main Contractor's Project and Commercial Directors.
  • Present confidently on contractual and commercial matters to both Client and Contractor.
  • Chair meetings with the Client and Contractor as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A recognized university degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management.
  • Chartered status as a Quantity Surveyor, Civil/Structural Engineer, or Project Manager.
  • Proven commercial and claims experience in major building projects, whether with a client, consultant, or contractor.
  • In-depth knowledge of major building project delivery, with a preference for experience in cultural venues.
  • Previous experience in a Senior Commercial Director or Manager role is advantageous.
  • Strong team management skills and the ability to cultivate relationships in diverse teams.
  • Direct experience in time and cost claims assessment and ideally dispute resolution.
  • Proficient in commercial risk identification, assessment, and management.
  • A confident and articulate communicator capable of influencing stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English, written and spoken.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
