About AIA and the Role
AIA is a leading life insurance company, and we're seeking an experienced actuary to join our team.
As a Data-Driven Actuarial Expert, you will be responsible for providing high-quality actuarial services across all aspects of our insurance business and financial control. This includes valuation calculations, statutory reporting, risk assessment, and premium setting.
The successful candidate will oversee various tasks, such as:
- Valuation, experience studies, business planning, budgeting, and statutory regulatory reporting;
- Implementing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Leading the implementation of the Risk-Based Capital (RBC) regime;
- Overseeing asset-liability management, investment policy, and investment decisions;
- Developing solutions and strategies to enhance distribution channels and attract new business;
- Fostering a learning culture and people development in the Actuarial Department.
Requirements
- Qualified Actuary or equivalent;
- More than 10 years of experience;
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics; Master's degree preferred;
- Experience in General Insurance, HK RBC, and IFRS 17;
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Leadership, teamwork, and communication skills;
- Effective project management skills;
- Development and learning orientation.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary range of approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits that make this role truly rewarding.
