About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a GL Operations Manager. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our General Ledger systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve General Ledger Systems (Kapiti GL, Oracle GL, Midas GL, Fusion GL) with proper internal control and reconciliations.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation to monitor nostro transactions.
  • Uphold General Ledger Systems with good governance and controls and the execution of control measures.
  • Ascertain the accuracy of financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Control & monitor suspense & temporary accounts.
  • Participate in month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain Chart of Account (CoA).
  • Conduct daily Nostro bank reconciliations for multiple currency accounts.
  • Investigate outstanding and unidentifiable items with Nostro Agents or internal departments.
  • Regularly pursue and escalate unresolved or long outstanding discrepancies following established protocols.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of operations.
  • Identify areas of improvement and drive changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness with leveraging technology solutions, streamlining workflows, or implementing best practices to optimize processes.
  • Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in HKICPA or equivalent qualifications is preferable.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience of relevant experience, preferably in banking industry.
  • Experience in ERP and solid experience in Finance GL Operations are preferred.
  • Experience with accounting software and online platforms.
  • Careful and Circumspect.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to tasks and time.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight schedule.
  • Willing to learn, Self-motivated, Self-discipline, Positive mindset.
  • Good communication & team spirit and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills, Project Implementation skills, with the capacity to navigate through challenges and propose creative solutions.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager.
