The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant/Associate to join its Center for Epigenomics Research. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a high-throughput platform for reproducible and affordable profile epigenomics landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize protocols for NGS library preparation.
- Operate and maintain a high-throughput liquid handler.
- Process and analyze NGS data.
- Assist in research projects and maintain organized records.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree (for Research Assistant) / a PhD degree (for Research Associate) in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Genomics, or related disciplines.
- At least one year of relevant work experience, preferably in next generation sequencing.
- Familiarity with experimental design, optimization, and troubleshooting of NGS library preparation protocols.
- Fluency in English and strong communication and writing skills.
- Detail-orientated with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
