Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer Lead to join our team at TaiKang (Hong Kong) Preparatory Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various key financial functions, including accounting, financial planning & analysis, treasury, finance operations, capital and regulatory financial reporting, and taxation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial & Regulatory Reporting:
    • Ensure timely and robust preparation of various financial reports, such as internal monthly financials report and regulatory reports (e.g., IFRS and RBC reportings).
    • Manage HKFRS and statutory audits.
    • Oversee the Internal Controls function to ensure integrity of internal and external reports.
    • Handle communication and inquiries from regulators (HKIA) and address ad hoc requests.
  • Development and Application of Accounting Policies:
    • Interpret and apply accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 17, IFRS 9, HKFRS, HKRBC) in financial statements.
    • Utilize and implement enterprise-level interpretations of accounting policy papers.
    • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and develop deep insights on their business implications.
  • Taxation:
    • Ensure timely and robust handling of annual tax filings with the HK Inland Revenue Department.
    • Stay abreast of changes to tax policies and develop deep insights on their business implications.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable transfer pricing requirements for relevant related party transactions.
    • Liaise with the Group Tax team as appropriate.
  • Finance Operations and Treasury:
    • Oversee the Treasury function, ensuring efficient payment processing and settlement of notional cash.
    • Optimize return on treasury funds while maintaining liquidity.
    • Deliver continuous improvements in treasury and payments processes.
    • Supervise the Investment Operations and Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate accounting of investment transactions.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly rolling forecast.
    • Provide stakeholder guidance and financial input to improve financial performance based on projected business plan results.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the HKICPA or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of key accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 17, IFRS 9) and insurance business operations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to deal with varied stakeholders.
Estimated Salary:

$150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
