We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Regional HJ Merchandising Manager.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive merchandising strategy for Fine Jewellery Watch in Asia, ensuring alignment with the HJ Business Unit's direction. This includes optimizing supply and stock availability, adhering to product strategy, central, and commercial guidelines. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between Headquarters and Markets, driving productivity by ensuring the right products are at the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • MERCHANDISING AND STOCK PLANNING
    • Develop and implement a regional merchandising strategy for FJW, building strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders between HQ and Markets.
    • Closely work with Markets' merchandising team to establish credibility and trust, ensuring seamless rollout of merchandising strategies.
    • Manage stock animation within the Zone, including collection launches, slow mover reduction, and stock rotation rebalancing.
    • Monitor stock levels across Regions/Markets, maximizing target turnover through optimal stock utilization.
    • Promote prestige network assortment collaboration with local HJ and retail teams, allocating stock rebalancing across boutiques based on assortment parameters.
    • Responsibly allocate and transfer stock to maximize sales potential among Markets.
    • Analyze assortments when necessary, considering qualitative feedback, commercial trends, boutique typology, or Market requests, providing ongoing product performance analysis.
    • Handle product inquiries, sharing feedback with regions and Markets in a timely manner.
    • Liaise with Headquarters regarding stock requests and related merchandising and stock issues, such as repairs.
    • Maintain and improve stock turnaround times based on business needs from various Markets.
    • Optimize logistics flows, shipments, and processes to reduce lead times.
    • Provide product launch strategies to Markets, including prices, launching schedules, and quantities.
    • Lead event retro-planning and follow-through processes.
    • Invoice follow-up according to commercial rules for recurring and events.
    • Stock repair handling and status follow-up with HQ and manufacturer.
  • Sales Analysis and Data Maintenance
    • Track, analyze, and effectively communicate key sales and inventory performance indicators.
    • Provide qualitative input and action plan recommendations as needed.
    • Alert on risks or changes in trend with proposed action plans to maximize sales potential.
    • Prepare regular dashboards and business reports.
    • Consolidate sales data from Markets with validation to ensure accuracy.
    • Oversee usage and support for different sales tools management (e.g., PLAZA, PEGA).
  • Commercial Insights and Forecasts
    • Monitor Markets and competitors' trends to identify business opportunities while observing Market landscapes and customers' preferences to maximize business potential.
    • Consolidate Market feedback and strengthen it as ONE voice at the Regional level, sharing Regional expertise and providing comments to Markets.
    • Work closely with Markets on novelties forecasts.
Requirements

We seek an individual with:

  • 8-12 years of prior commercial, management, or merchandising experience in a multinational company.
  • Solid experience in FJW and FWM.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SAP, Power BI/Looker.
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Numerically sensitive with a commercial retail mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of the luxury fashion industry, trends, and competitor landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills with strategic planning mindset.
  • Quick-thinking ability to handle complex stock situations.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year (dependent on location and experience).
