About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager to join our team in Hong Kong and Macau, driving product innovation and development in the Life Insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Business Development, Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, and Medical teams to conceptualize and develop new product ideas for the China and SEA reinsurance market.
  2. Research and derive new product features pricing assumptions, ensuring alignment with AXA's risk appetite.
  3. Pitch new product ideas to clients, crafting solutions tailored to their propositions, budget, and risk tolerance.
  4. Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, Medical, and Risk Management teams to implement new product features, ensuring they meet AXA's risk appetite.
  5. Support the pricing team in developing and implementing pricing assumptions/methodologies for new features/product structures proposed by clients.
  6. Lead data analysis projects to establish new pricing bases, enhance existing ones, and identify novel product ideas.
  7. Provide guidance and support to junior pricing colleagues as part of a collaborative team environment.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A globally recognized actuarial association qualification or fellowship.
  • 7-9 years' experience in the Life Insurance industry, preferably in pricing or reinsurance/product development.
  • An exceptional pricing sense, enabling you to quickly estimate pricing impacts.
  • Familiarity with Medical and Critical Illness business, as well as distribution channels in China and SEA markets, is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, delivery-oriented skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Innovative, highly motivated, results-driven, and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with strong time management skills.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, dealing with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to self-manage work and drive new projects where no established processes exist.
  • Strong command of business English and Chinese (written and spoken), with fluency in Mandarin a plus.
