Data Center Critical Facility Engineer - Career Transition Programme

Our operations team works tirelessly to maintain critical facilities infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of best-in-class service to our data center customers. As a Digital Infrastructure Specialist, you will join this team and contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques, consistently working on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance: Performs highly skilled preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility systems, resolves advanced incidents, develops new procedures, and monitors the Building Monitoring System (BMS) to make recommendations for new procedures to management teams.
  • Vendor Support: Facilitates selection of vendors for outsourced maintenance activities, directs vendors on highly skilled tasks to ensure maintenance activities are carried out per standards and requirements, creates scripts for maintenance, tracks and implements the work approval process, and inspects implementation changes/updates to technical files.
  • Site Administration & Incident Support: Completes complex site logs and data gathering, identifies and escalates process discrepancies, identifies Single Points of Failure (SPOFs), acts as a support team lead, supports the team on adherence, responds to all on-site incidents, assists with RCA, and assists management with maintaining technical documents.
  • Work Orders & Additional Projects: Completes highly skilled work requests and circuit installations, coordinates more advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of office equipment, makes moderate changes to mechanical, electrical, and specialized systems, performs capacity management reviews, leads infrastructure project activities, collaborates with others to resolve highly difficult facility incidents, and acts as a support team lead when identifying component level faults.

About You

  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical & Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • You have experience in the facility management field or critical facility design.
  • You possess good communication skills in both Chinese and English.
