Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fintech Lawyer to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel, responsible for providing legal guidance on blockchain technology applications and digital infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on blockchain technology applications, including smart contracts, tokenization, and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects.
  • Assist in the legal aspects of developing and deploying digital infrastructure, including partnerships with technology providers and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, compliance, and business units, to align legal strategies with business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, with a strong academic record.
  • Qualified to practice law in a common law jurisdiction with at least 8-10 years of experience, either in-house or with private practice.
  • Past work experience as a transaction lawyer in fund formation / asset-backed securitization / structured finance / financial regulation / fintech space is highly preferred.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and business-oriented solutions.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (Mandarin is a must).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is HKD 800,000 - 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
