At Iptp, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Engineer to join our team in providing exceptional service deliveries and provisioning.

  • Key responsibilities include installing and cabling switches, servers, and appliances in data centres and/or customer sites.
  • The ideal candidate will facilitate the installation of servers and network equipment with smart hands/remote hands in remote co-locations.
  • They will also be responsible for installing software and configuring it (Windows, Linux, and VMWare etc.).
  • Additionally, they will replace HDD/RAM/SFP transceivers and other hardware-related tasks as required by our server and network teams.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for cooperating with internal departments, ensuring the readiness of projects and their further execution.
  • Customer and internal technical support will be provided directly or in cooperation with the Customer Support department.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for getting equipment to and from remote co-locations, including packing/shipping.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation is crucial for this role.
Requirements:

A higher diploma/Associate degree or above in Information Technology/Computer Science/Networking will be advantageous.

  • One year or above of working experience in the data centre is preferred.
  • Remote "hands & eyes" experience and knowledge of structured cabling, experience in CAT5, CAT6, and multi-mode/single-mode fibre will be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and tidiness are must-haves for this role.
  • A good command of written & spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is a MUST.
  • Punctual, responsible, well-organised, polite individuals are encouraged to apply.
  • Helpful, flexible, and willing to support colleagues whenever needed.
  • Willingness to perform shift duties and occasional business trips is essential.
