Synopsis of the Role

The role of BU Head for our Slope Projects business unit is key to driving growth and delivering exceptional results. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of professional engineers, overseeing business operations, and developing strategic plans to achieve established goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of experienced engineers to execute strategies and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Business Operations: Oversee the business unit's profit and loss (P&L), acquire new projects, and drive growth initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement short-term and long-term service line strategies to align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Project Management: Act as a decision-maker for project management teams, evaluating alternative execution strategies for cost and schedule impacts.
  • Risk Management: Coordinate and advise on significant project risks, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing potential losses.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the team towards development, improvement, compliance, and monitoring of Project Management procedures and processes in Hong Kong.
  • Innovation and Communication: Support innovation initiatives, implementing region-specific programs that align with the company's overall objectives, and serve as a communication bridge between stakeholders to ensure project success.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree qualified in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering or equivalent disciplines.
  • 15+ years of project management and delivery experience in geotechnical engineering or civil discipline.
  • Familiarity with slope and government projects.
  • Experience working in a similar matrix reporting organization.
  • Good English communication and writing skills.
