Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in the Clinical Sciences department, focusing on the education of aspiring veterinary professionals, enhancing animal health through innovative clinical research, and fostering community engagement. The individual will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical instruction, as well as clinical mentorship within their diagnostic services. The appointee will assist students in synthesizing and applying their knowledge, skills, and professional ethics; provide clinical services; and undertake administrative responsibilities and additional tasks to support the advancement of the College and its Departments collectively.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a veterinary degree that is recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong, such as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), or an equivalent qualification for all positions. For the Clinical Associate Professor level or higher, board certification (European, Australian/New Zealand, American, or equivalent) in the relevant specialty is mandatory. For the Clinical Assistant Professor position, candidates should have completed or be nearing completion of their board certification credentials. A background in clinical education, service, and research is essential, with a PhD being highly desirable.

Compensation and Employment Conditions

The remuneration package will be competitive within the market and based on individual performance. Exceptional benefits include gratuity, leave entitlements, medical and dental coverage, and relocation support (if applicable). The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract basis.
