Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic manager to spearhead strategic initiatives across various business sectors, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve superior business results while addressing intricate business challenges. These initiatives represent transformative consulting efforts that are often cross-departmental, aligning with the overarching strategic objectives and vision of Principal Financial Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct strategic consulting projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget.
  • Foster and nurture robust internal client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with diverse functions to establish project goals, formulate strategies, and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Generate strategic recommendations and actionable plans grounded in data analysis, industry insights, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present compelling presentations and reports to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Supervise data analysis and interpretation to extract insights that inform decision-making.
  • Ensure comprehensive execution of all facets of business change delivery, including Target Operating Model design and implementation, solution delivery, training, and communication.
  • Address complex business challenges from strategy formulation through to execution.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, recognize dependencies, and proactively manage corrective actions or change requests throughout project lifecycles.
  • Guarantee the creation and dissemination of high-quality project-related documentation to all relevant parties.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor and contribute as a team player in supporting team initiatives and activities.
  • Assist the Head of Strategic Initiatives in building a team with strong business acumen and consulting/project management capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering complex, large-scale transformation projects within financial institutions.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in business transformation or consulting; experience in fund product delivery is advantageous.
  • High level of drive and motivation to achieve objectives efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders in a matrixed, multicultural organization.
  • Proactively anticipate stakeholder needs and develop potential solutions.
  • Effectively navigate ambiguous and unstructured challenges.
  • Transition seamlessly between strategic thinking and detailed project management.
  • Communicate clearly and structured when influencing and connecting with others.
  • Build quality relationships by adapting behavior to different situations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse functions and delivery teams towards common objectives.
  • In-depth project management and business analysis expertise, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data interpretation.
  • Change agent with a constructive approach to challenging the status quo.
  • Strong sense of ownership and a service-oriented mindset to ensure effective customer service delivery.
  • Agile Certified/Scrum Master, with experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
