Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Initiatives Manager to lead and manage strategic/consulting projects from inception to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business transformation and consulting, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving enhanced customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage strategic/consulting projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timely, within-scope, and within-budget execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong internal client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders.
  • Work with different functions to define project objectives, develop strategies, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and action plans based on data analysis, industry knowledge, and best practices.
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Oversee data analysis and interpretation to derive insights and drive decision-making.
  • Accountable for successful execution of all aspects of business change delivery, including Target Operating Model design and implementation, solution delivery, training, and communication.
  • Resolve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
  • Recognizing and mitigating risks, identifying dependencies, and proactively managing any corrective actions or change requests throughout the lifetime of projects.
  • Ensure the development and distribution of quality project-related documentation to all interested parties.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and act as a team player in supporting team activities and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale transformation projects in financial institutions.
  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in business transformation/consulting, fund product delivery experience is a plus.
  • High degree of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient, and effective manner, with the ability to work in a fast-paced change-oriented environment under time pressure.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills with experience managing senior stakeholders in a matrix, multi-cultural organization.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realizes they are required.
  • Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations.
  • Move easily between big-picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
  • Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others.
  • Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships.
  • Ability to lead and motivate different functions and delivery teams to achieve common goals.
  • In-depth and hands-on project management, business analysis expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and decision-making by analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Change agent with the ability to challenge the status quo constructively.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mind-set to ensure efficient and effective customer service delivery.
  • Agile Certified/Scrum Master, with Agile knowledge and adoption experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
