Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Event Coordinator to join our team at Marriott International. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and meetings, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup, decorations, and audiovisual equipment
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Develop and implement event concepts and themes
- Manage event budgets and ensure timely execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, event management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
