Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Artisan to join our team at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the performance of contractors on horticultural, cleansing, and laundry services.
  • Supervise junior staff to perform domestic maintenance works.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of working gear, cleaning materials, and equipment is kept for use by staff.
  • Assist in maintaining the security and discipline of the centre.
  • Carry out minor urgent repairs of sports equipment, furniture, and domestic appliances.
  • Report any damages or shortages of equipment to senior officers.
  • Assist in handling ad hoc incidents in camps.
Requirements
  • Completed Primary 6 education or equivalent.
  • Five years' working experience in horticultural maintenance, sports centre maintenance, or domestic equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated potential or ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to communicate in Cantonese/Chinese and simple English.
  • Pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test.
Working Conditions

Successful candidates will be required to work 45 hours net per week, excluding meal breaks. They may be subject to posting and transfer, and required to work in remote areas, including outlying Islands. They may be required to perform shift duties, work irregular hours, operate horticulture machinery, and undergo in-service training and related assessment.
