Job Description

Job Summary:

A Senior Artisan with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department is responsible for supervising the performance of contractors and junior staff in various domestic and horticultural services. The role involves ensuring the maintenance of equipment and facilities, as well as assisting in the upkeep of security and discipline within the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the performance of contractors and junior staff in horticultural, cleansing, and laundry services.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and facilities, including the upkeep of working gear, cleaning materials, and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining the security and discipline of the centre, including routine spot checks and liaison with security guards.
  • Carry out minor urgent repairs of sports equipment, furniture, and domestic appliances.
  • Report any damages or shortages of equipment to senior officers and initiate action for repairs or replacements.
  • Assist in handling ad hoc incidents in camps.

Requirements:

  • Completed Primary 6 education or equivalent.
  • Five years' working experience in horticultural machinery operation, horticultural maintenance, or repair and maintenance work in sports centres or domestic and sports equipment repair.
  • Demonstrated potential or ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to communicate in Cantonese/Chinese and simple English, read simple Chinese and English, and write simple Chinese or English.
  • Pass result in the Basic Law and National Security Law Test.
