Wealth and Personal Banking encompasses four primary business sectors that efficiently deliver the best of HSBC to our clients through a comprehensive and relevant array of wealth and retail banking services: Asset Management, Global Private Banking & Wealth, HSBC Life, Retail Banking & Strategy, and COO & Digital Transformation.

We are currently looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Transformation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

The Transformation Specialist (also known as Business Analyst) is accountable for the multi-channel customer experience provided by cross-functional teams. Collaborate and engage with cross-functional and market teams without direct authority over those individuals. Utilize storyboarding, task analysis, and user research to gather and develop user requirements, assisting product owner(s) in prioritizing the backlog. Champion Agile development practices, identify opportunities for enhancement, and facilitate the execution of changes, including release planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies. Embrace a customer-centric approach to ensure that business requirements achieve the desired outcomes and enhance customer value. Work closely with relevant channel teams, technology teams, digital teams, legal, risk, and compliance teams to document design options and recommendations. Analyze data to uncover actionable insights and make product recommendations through funnels, cohort analyses, long-term trends, user segmentation, and regression models. Identify opportunities for automated approvals or processing through data and workflow automation. Seek continuous improvement opportunities in a dynamic and Agile environment. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to ensure user stories are accurately developed and meet acceptance criteria. Identify and document scenarios and user acceptance criteria to drive testing. Partner with business users on UAT execution and follow up on defects with the application development team. Assist with change management initiatives to ensure new processes are understood and integrated. Conduct user training sessions on system functionalities.

Requirements

A university degree in Business or a Technology-related field. A minimum of 3 years in business analysis is preferred but not mandatory. A solid understanding of Change Methodology Frameworks, Agile methodologies, and best practice techniques is preferred. Experience in gathering requirements and conducting design activities, with a blend of business, operations, and technology-focused projects is preferred. Familiarity with HSBC standards and processes would be advantageous. Experience in Customer-Centric Design, sourcing customer insights, and the significance of customer testing. Strong grasp of testing methodologies and processes, along with hands-on experience in test execution. Experience in implementing change across various audiences and managing execution in banking environments would be beneficial. Ability to work independently, under pressure, and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English. Proven capability to work across regions while maintaining a global perspective with senior stakeholders and sponsors. Ability to inspire and lead teams, employing suitable management styles, and comfortable influencing and challenging stakeholders as necessary.
