**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Strategic FX Trader to join our Global Markets team at China Construction Bank.

The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving assigned profit objectives through FX, derivatives, and rates trading, within delegated authority and risk/counterparty limits.

Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure compliance with trading guidelines, position, and risk limits.
  • To understand and interpret current market dynamics, handle enquiries, and provide pricing to the front-line business units.
  • To provide competitive pricing and market information to other business units and branches for execution of customer orders.
  • To provide market information and analysis to management for formulating strategic purposes.
  • To provide coaching/guidance to junior staff.
  • To assist in developing and monitoring treasury operational policies.

Requirements

  • A university degree or above in Economics, Finance, or Mathematics preferred and professionally qualified.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in active FX markets, options, or IRS, CCS dealing.
  • A proven track record on P&L performance.
  • Licensed with HKMA/SFC for Type 1 and 4 activities required.
  • ECF-TM qualification is preferable.
  • A thorough knowledge of business practice and principles plus in-depth understanding.
  • Good communication and people skills to work with different levels of talents within the Bank.
  • Good sense of risk management.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Pragmatic with strong drives for results.
