About the Role:

The Applications team at HKEX is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting market systems, including trading, market data, clearing, and settlement systems, as well as internal corporate and surveillance systems. We have several specialized teams with in-depth technology expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, enhance, and develop next-generation platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create technical design documents based on requirements documents
  • Develop software according to program specifications
  • Perform unit tests, system tests, performance testing, and performance tuning work
  • Work closely with mainland colleagues and travel to Shenzhen occasionally
  • Undertake assignments and projects assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • At least 5+ years' experience in Java, 2+ years' experience in Microservices and Container development
  • Proficiency in Java, Linux, Redis, MQ, database/SQL, and REST API
  • Familiarity with DevOps life cycles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Jira, Git, Junit, Docker)
  • Experience in application security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API security) is an advantage
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in React/JavaScript is an added advantage
  • Experience in the Financial industry is an added advantage
