Overview
As a Trainee in Cash & Equity Settlement, you will play a crucial role in banking operations processing. Your responsibilities will include:
- Settlement: Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant trade instructions and settlements for the Hong Kong and Stock Connect markets.
- Matching: Engage in pre-matching processes and proactively communicate trade statuses to relevant stakeholders.
- Control: Investigate cash and stock reconciliation breaks, analyze root causes, and resolve discrepancies.
- Funding: Conduct cash flow projections for funding requirements and coordinate with the Treasury Desk while adhering to cutoff times.
- Payment: Process both internal and external payments using the designated internal Payment Tool.
- Project Participation: Contribute to projects related to new business initiatives or system modifications.
Profile Requirements
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Prior operational experience in a financial institution is advantageous.
- A motivated self-starter, eager to learn and adapt to various assignments.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage a diverse workload.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve collective goals.
- Innovative thinking; capable of proposing new ideas and solutions for identified challenges or existing processes.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
