About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team at Li & Fung. As a Senior Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering value in global supply chains by living our values around people, partners, and the planet.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze design concepts, sketches, and photos provided by customers to understand their vision and requirements.
  2. Evaluate potential production issues related to measurements, sizes, and adjustments based on customers' input.
  3. Engage with customers' technical teams to address concerns and provide solutions.
  4. Offer guidance and support to factories, customers, merchandising teams, and technical teams on product specifications and production processes.
  5. Inspect samples for style, construction, workmanship, quality, and measurements to ensure they align with product specifications.
  6. Collaborate with factories to review customer feedback and oversee sampling procedures to meet quality standards.
  7. Support colleagues in understanding customer requirements and resolving technical challenges.
  8. Discuss work progress, challenges, and updates with merchandising teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
  9. Enter relevant information into the MQC system and customer platform to track progress and maintain records.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Diploma or Degree in Clothing, Textile Merchandising, Textile, or related discipline preferred.
  2. Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in Swimwear, Lingerie, and Sportswear for global markets; experience in European markets is a MUST.
  3. Strong capability to build technical specification files from design sketches.
  4. Good product and material knowledge as well as product safety requirements.
  5. A responsive and self-motivated person; able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Excellent communication skills; capable of building strong relationships with the team and communicating effectively with internal and external parties.
  7. Detail and result-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
  9. Literate in Microsoft Office Applications.
  10. Travel to factories is required.
