Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise to project teams, developing and applying advanced engineering techniques, and supervising engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Standards: Provide guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, and applicable engineering codes and Black & Veatch policies.
  • Quality/Continuous Improvement: Apply knowledge and ensure compliance with Black & Veatch quality program, establish related processes, and promote a culture that is conducive to quality.
  • Engineering Production: Prepare complex engineering deliverables, perform research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection, and manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with internal/external team members on complex projects, define project schedules, and communicate client interests and drivers to project team members.
  • Knowledge Sharing, Innovation and Technology: Serve as a technical specialist, provide consultation and guidance to project teams, and advance knowledge management of the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program and a minimum of 11 years related work experience.

Certifications

Most positions will typically require incumbents to have professional registration or licensure in their designated home office country.
