Objective & Role:

Deliver a comprehensive suite of in-house legal support to Global Operations, particularly focusing on Sourcing, alongside other Corporate Functions that underpin the Global Sourcing activities across the Asia Pacific region.Ensure adherence to legal standards, enhance risk awareness, and promote transparency within the organization.

Primary Duties:

Offer legal counsel and propose actionable strategies to business stakeholders regarding their daily operational activities.Conduct investigations, research, and resolve legal issues in alignment with corporate policies to secure a favorable position for the company.Oversee and facilitate legal services, including advisory roles, company secretary responsibilities, contract evaluation, drafting, negotiation, transaction structuring, legal risk assessment, and dispute mitigation to safeguard the interests of adidas.Review and/or formulate pertinent legal policies and procedures to enhance the protection of adidas' interests.Deliver relevant training sessions to Sourcing stakeholders to elevate legal awareness and ensure compliance with internal protocols and applicable external regulations.Collaborate with business stakeholders to collect all necessary information and directives to draft essential documentation for any business engagements.Evaluate legal inquiries from Sourcing offices and provide appropriate guidance to resolve issues.Work closely with other legal departments within adidas to ensure effective collaboration and achieve a beneficial outcome for the organization.Manage and coordinate with external legal service providers, such as law firms and consultants.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

Robust experience in contract drafting and negotiation.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary for engaging with internal and external parties on confidential matters.Proficient business communication in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in additional Asian languages (e.g., Chinese, Vietnamese, Bahasa) is a plus.Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels.Sound commercial acumen and the capability to assess risks pragmatically.Ability to operate independently.High degree of stakeholder engagement and effective prioritization skills.Excellent analytical abilities to dissect complex issues and enhance processes and methodologies.

Essential Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

A qualified solicitor in a common law jurisdiction or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience, ideally with relevant in-house exposure.Substantial experience in general corporate matters and commercial agreements.
